The Voting Information Project (VIP) is a project of The Pew Charitable Trusts, Google, and the states to ensure that voters in the United States have the official information they need to cast a ballot, such as where to vote and what’s on the ballot. Launched in 2008, VIP works with election officials to provide voting information to citizens through a variety of means, including the Google Civic Information API. This app is one of the many resources made available through VIP ensuring official election information is accessible to voters before and on Election Day.
VIP makes polling place and ballot information available approximately 21 days before an election.
